Ingin Tahu Kiamat Akibat Asteroid?

Tonight, I tried out a place that everyone in New York but me has tried: the Meatball Shop. It must be said that my Italian mother’s meat-a-balls are in a category of their own. However, as far as meatballs my mother didn’t make, these are pretty much number one.
I met Eileen there, and in my five-minute walk from the subway, I got two text messages from her. The first one said there’d be a two hour wait; the second one said she negotiated with some dudes at the bar and we could sit at the bar as soon as they got up. It is a tiny restaurant, so eating at the bar was way better than waiting. I started with the sangria, and I did not regret this decision. Usually, sangria feels like it’s leaving a film of sugar on my teeth, but this had just enough sweet and sour.

I chose the classic beef balls, despite wanting to get the family jewels, just so I could say so. I asked for the classic balls over spaghetti and with spicy meat sauce. I’ve never had Italian that was too spicy for me, so I figured it would probably just be tangy, and tangy it was. The sauce was pretty close to perfect.

SOCIALLY AWKWARD
siddman:
You check your phone, because you have nothing to contribute to the conversation. Wait for the right time to say something, you get interrupted. Twice Someone you vaguely know is walking in front of you. You maintain distance. Hold the door for some. They’re slightly too far away. Someone comes online, you say “hey”, they go offline. You go in for the high-five. Other person isn’t looking. Accidentally look someone in the eye. Pretend to look past them. You say something stupid. You play it down, but everyone sees your face going red. You say “hi” to someone. It comes out as a whisper. Your friends formed a circle while you were gone. You can’t fit and end up standing slightly askew. Waiting by yourself for friends. Pretend you’re texting. You tell a hilarious joke. Nobody laughs. You’re in class and you want to cough. Some other person just coughed, now you have to wait. Walk into the restrooms and the stalls are full; pretend you only came here to wash your hands then leave. The person in front is walking slightly slower than you are. You walk at an uncomfortable speed to get past them.

Hi! I love your blog. Am a big fan of Claude Monet and Impressionism, y'see. Anyways, ever been to one of his exhibitions?
No I haven’t, but I have seen a few of his paintings at the National Art Gallery in Ottawa. I went to Paris summers past, however impressionism was always something my mother was interested in (she used to repaint Monet’s painting into large murals) but not me, so I swapped my planned Monet Day for Movie Day. I desperately wish to go back, or for an exhibition to roll around here.
Oh, and thanks btw. Any lovers of my erratic and mostly absent posts are always appreciated.
